LAURA THOMPSON
ローラ・トンプソン［フォトグラファー］
カリフォルニア、サンタバーバラ生まれ。
ここ１０年はイギリスを拠点としている。近年グラスゴー美術学校よりコミュニケーション・デザインの修士号を取得し、現在スコットランド在住。
彼女の作品は神話的な世界観と人工物の自然に対するつながり、もがきを問うような状況をつくりだす。視覚的に目を引き示唆に富み、超現実的な作風で、観る者をはっとさせる。
作品作りのため、大きなフォーマットの写真や身体に纏わせる表現を扱っており、また制作過程においてインスタレーションや、パフォーマンスアートも探求している。

Laura Thompson was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California.
For the past ten years she has lived in the UK and recently received her Masters in Communication Design from the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland where she currently lives. In her work, Laura constructs mythologies and environments that examine the struggle and bond of manmade versus the natural. She creates work that is both eye-catching and thought provoking, surreal and constructed work that makes you do a double take. She has primarily used large format photography and wearable art to do so, but has also explored installation work and performance art in the process.
LOUISE ROWLAND
ルイーズ・ローランド ［イラストレーター／デザイナー］
アイルランド出身。
ダブリンのThe National College of Art and Designを最優秀学位で卒業。
彼女の作品は抽象的な形、鮮やかな色、奇抜な模様に富んでいる。
絵を描くこと、お話を書くことと音楽を作ることが大好き。
彼女の作品は様々な形態で展開する—
デジタルイラストレーション、本、スクリーンプリント、壁画、リソグラフプリントや3Dイラストレーションなど。最近ではオンラインのビジュアル日記として自身の実験的な作品をinstagramを通じて公開している。絶えずスキルを磨き、実験的な制作をしている彼女は様々なスキルを持ったアーティストでいるということに魅力を感じている。
現在グラスゴー美術学校、イラストレーション修士課程に在籍し、自身のプロジェクトを進めている。

I am a multi-disciplined illustrator and designer from Ireland.
My work brims with abstract shapes, vivid colours and eccentric patterns. I have a First Class Honours in Visual Communications from The National College of Art and Design, Dublin. I love to draw, write stories and make music. I am always doodling and dreaming. My work takes the form of many mediums including digital illustrations, books, screen prints, murals, paintings risograph prints and 3D installations. I am continually expanding my practice and often use Instagram as an online visual diary for my experimental work. I’ve always been attracted to the concept of being a multi-disciplined artist and designer and I think thats why I’m always developing my skills and doing experimental work. I am currently completing my MDes in Illustration at the Glasgow School of Art and making my most exciting work to date.
